Our aim over the last half of 2024 was to grower deeper connections with Jesus, with one another and with the wider community.

Praise God for our series in Mark’s gospel.  It has been a real delight to see the gospel renew our vision of Jesus and what it means to follow him today. 
We have also seen the effect of sowing seed in other’s lives as they have found Jesus’ message too counter-cultural.  Pray that we would love all people well with the gospel, and not lack courage to rescue those who are being taken away to death and to hold back those who are stumbling to the slaughter’. Proverbs 24:11

We have sought to deepen our connections with each other with ‘bring and share’ lunches after church, a lad’s night away, and multiplying our community groups.  Praise God that these have been largely successful.

Pray especially for our community groups to grow in fellowship.  We have two mid week groups running on a Wednesday and Thursday night, a mums and toddlers bible study, a senior ladies group and a monthly men’s breakfast group.  The busyness of people’s lives often prevail against these, so ask that the urgent will not triumph over the important.

In terms of reaching out to the wider community we have a number of evangelistic 1-2-1s in process, plans for Christmas carol services and also a number of courses to invite people to in 2025.

Praise God for these opportunities and pray that we would not waste one bit of them.  Pray for eyes to be opened firstly to people’s true and eternal need.  Pray that this would cause them to seek Christ as their only saviour.  Ask that our plans for 2025 will bear much fruit that will last.
