City Church Dublin

Our mission at City is to CONNECT people to Jesus, GROW them to spiritual maturity that they might SERVE the community and GO to the nations. These four verbs shape and influence our life together and help us to take stock of the year just gone.

CONNECT: Praise God for the 4 new believers we baptised in May on profession of faith. Pray also for the frequent non-christian visitors to both church and community groups especially as we see some signs of increased openness.

GROW: Give thanks that we recently added our 8th mid-week community group with a 9th being planned for January. These are essential for deepening community and growing spiritually together. Please pray for the community group leaders who give of their time not only to lead but to be trained and equipped for this work.

SERVE: Last June we concluded our first “Leadership Cohort” year with 13 people graduating into increased areas of service and leadership in the church. Our new cohort started in September with 11 more committing to meet every other week to develop as disciples. Pray that the Lord would continue to raise up workers for the harvest field in City and beyond.

GO: A lot of energy this year was dedicated to purchasing a new church building. We were blown away by the financial commitments made by supporters and which this initial venture didn’t work out we are prayerful that in the coming 12 months City will be able to find a more permanent home from which to reach the city and plant more churches. Please join us in asking the Lord for wisdom as we trust his timing and provision.
