Year End Prayer 2024
In Irish Church Missions we remain joyful in our great mission to evangelise, plant churches and strengthen the proclamation of the gospel across Ireland. And it has
been a very important and exciting year for us.
As we seek to grow in our effectiveness in evangelism, thank Almighty God for those he is saving and adding to the number of our churches. This is especially evident in
the Iranian Gospel Church Dublin, so thank God for the particular outpouring of his grace in this church.
Pray that the other churches and ministries in the ICM family will continue to seek and save the lost and that they will do this with greater conviction, understanding,
urgency and favour.
Our church planting efforts have been greatly encouraged by the recent support from the Anglican Convocation in Europe. Church leaders from ICM and some others had an incredibly fruitful time with Bishop Andy Lines and ACE assessment panels in mid-September. This has led to the ordination of three of our church leaders with the plan for further licensing and affiliations to occur in 2025. Praise God for this mighty encouragement and recognition of our gospel efforts and pray that we will find mutual encouragement in our future partnerships within ACE.
We recognise that this will be unsettling news for others, so please pray that we will seek unity in the bond of peace with all like minded leaders and churches across Ireland so that the evil one will not slip in and sow division and add further distraction.
In terms of strengthening healthy evangelical Anglican churches within the Church of Ireland we recently had the opportunity to join with Ballinderry Parish Church as they celebrate 200 years. It was a joy to see the enthusiasm and concern of the people in Ballinderry for the eternal destiny of those they are living beside. Pray for the ongoing follow-up and fruit to grow from this mission and ask that God’s kindness will be seen in bringing many to repentance and faith.
Pray for wisdom, courage and a deepening partnership among our churches as we move into 2025. The city of Dublin and indeed the whole island of Ireland has a growing need. Please seek the Lord for our efforts and please pray for your own heart as you review how you can join with us in this great day of mission.
Specifically give thanks for those who are regular givers to the work and pray that God will raise up many more to allow us to expand and increase our work. Perhaps take the time now to bring before the Lord the names of one or two others who you could see giving to the work.
