10 years of God’s grace

City Church Dublin has now spent its first full year in its new venue at the Odeon Cinema and we are so encouraged by how God has used this provision. More people are coming long, engaging with the ministry of City and embedding into community than ever before.

This September we started a new midweek group called “City Life” designed to help new people integrate into the life of the church as we explore God’s word together. We consistently had 20-30 people on a Wednesday evening, sharing a meal, engaging in bible-centred discussion and asking questions. As a result of this we have seen at least one person come to faith and from January this larger group with multiply into 3 small community groups – taking our total number of community groups to 6.

Looking ahead, 2023 will be significant for at least two major reasons.

Frist, in April (Palm Sunday) we will send out the launch team of Redeemer Church Dublin. Duncan and Becky Candler (church planting resident) have gathered a team of about 15 adults who will be sent from us and begin morning worship on Easter Day! Please pray for this fledgeling group as they embed into the community in Churchtown.

Later in 2023, City will mark 10 years since we started as a small Sunday evening gathering. In September we will celebrate 10 years of God’s grace to City Church through its many seasons and pray for its future ministry in Dublin and beyond.
